The ideal candidate must possesses minimum of 5 years at a daily newspaper covering sports, proven ability to write sports news features, ability to perform Web posting functions, good sports news judgment, good headline writing. Proficiency using web-based content management tools, including posting multimedia such as photos, videos and audio. Proficiency in Ellington would be ideal. Basic knowledge of HTML/XML needed. Proficiency using and analyzing data from Web analytics. Proficiency using AP style. Should be able to use an FTP server. May be asked to pitch in posting news stories online.
